What does implications of research mean?
What could happen as a result of how psychologists conduct a study or the use of their findings after a study.
Can affects small communities and entire social groups.
(Small and large scale effects)
Name the possible implications of studies and theories
Participants - being affected by the study itself.
The public - Being influenced by the publication of findings. (Forming negative/harmful stereotypes)
The groups being studied - May suffer bias/discrimination. (Self-fulfilling prophecy)
Government bodies - May use psychological findings to develop policies that are not in interest of the research group.

What is socially sensitive research?
Studies where there are potential implications either directly for the participants or for the group of individuals being represented by the research.
