Standard 10: Therapy
What to do when a patient is seeing more than one therapist for treatment of the same condition?
If a patient is seeing two or more therapists for the same mental health condition, it is ethical and required to
1) discuss with the client why they feel they need more than one therapist to treat the same condition
2) should consult with the other therapist(s) to ensure the best interest for the client

It is considered ethical but illegal to withhold patient records for non-payment, thus, psychologists should not withhold patient records for reasons of non-payment
