  • copyright applies to anything that can be written, or images, existing immeditely, no need to apply for it
  • creative commons license; copyright holder may issues a creative commons license to allow others to use, and can put limitations
  • registered design applies to logos, icons, similar, but need to registered
  • patents are for inventions, doesnt apply to program code

  • processed fairly and lawfully
  • help for specific purposes
  • relevent and not excessive
  • upto date, and not kept for longer than needed

  • not transferred outside EU, unless to a country with a similar law
