Go can be used for changes in colors too.

Turn = used with colors of things.
The sky turned gold.
The tomatoes turned red.
Her hair turned white.
GET and Become (more formal, writing)
Become, not get = extinct, popular, homeless, famous.
Alternatives: fall, grow.
fall ill, silent
grow older, louder.
GET/Become: angry, bored, excited, depressed, upset, impatient, violent.
She got pregnant.
I’d like to get involved.
Our baker became famous.
Have a baby, have a heart attack.
