Q

What are the five stages of evidence based practice?

A
  1. Identify what you need to find out
  2. Search for appropriate evidence (form PICO question, use internet, library)
  3. Critically evaluate the evidence (use critical appraisal skills aims + methodology, participants, intervention, analysis/outcomes)
  4. Put the evidence into a plan of action
    (change management, workshops/seminars, clinical guidelines)
  5. Evaluate the effects of any action taken (outcome measures, user consultation, clinical and managerial supervision)
