What are doxastic attitudes?
Attitudes that one holds in response to some proposition. Examples are belief, disbelief, suspension of judgement, etc.
What is evidentialism?
The idea that a doxastic attitude is epistemically justified if and only if it fits the evidence S has at that time.
What is evidence?
Consciously accessible signs of truth. Can include experiences, memories, and background beliefs.
What is a person’s total possible evidence?
All the information that they have stored in their mind.
What is current-state rationality?
The justification of a belief given the present state of the available evidence.
What is methodological rationality?
Depends on whether or not a belief is formed through rational and responsible methods of inquiry.
