what is the process approach?
-just doing art triggers different psychological processes that are healing
-can be better to bring emotion down to a more productive level (like in a hospital setting)

-art is symbolic communication and there is a message being conveyed through the art by the artist
-the final piece of art is the focus
-lots of verbal discussion afterwards about what the product is and what it means

everything that happens in our mind and our bodies affect the other, this can be positive but it can also cause physical symptoms when somebody is mentally ill, or if somebody isn’t taking care of their body they can have emotional issues

can be done through materials like wood, hammer and nail (process)
