A character
Any one of the persons in a story.
Character
The sum or total of all one person’s characteristics or qualities of a character.
Characteristics
Personal human qualities such as bravery, jealously, leadership, cowardice, gentleness cruelty, kindness. Such items as having a big nose, beauty, or muscular strength are not really characteristics but physical features.
Introduction
The opening paragraphs of a story which should as quickly as possible introduce main characters and start of action.
Plot (In a Story)
The arrangement of a series of incidents or events which lead, by cause and effect, from the opening of the story to the climax.
Complications
The story develops through series of incidents or situations tat add to the complexity of the story.
Conflict (In a story)
The struggle which is the basis of every story ever written.
Crisis (In a story)
Crisis is the turning point where the fortunes of the protagonist either improve or decline.
Climax (In a story)
The point in the story where the protagonist’s problems are solved.
Anticlimax
The part of the story which comes after the climax.
Setting (In a story)
The setting is the time and place in which the story takes place.
Local Color
If the regional setting, including landscape, dialect, and customs is exploited for its inherent interest and oddity, it is often referred to as “local color”.
Atmosphere
A cloud of feelings with which you envelop your story.
Suspense
A tense feeling of waiting or expectation aroused by various means.
Mood
The feeling aroused in a reader by the events in a story.
Theme (In a story)
The theme is the message of the story.

Writers who make plays.
Script
The text of the play
