Giving a non-human thing, human-like quality’s.
Hyperbole
Extreme exaggeration.

The pattern of the rhymes, in poems.
Foreshadowing
A hint of something that’s going to happen later in the story.
Elements Of A Story
Setting
Where the story is taking place, and it can affect the whole thing.
Conflict
Problems or arguments characters encounter during the story.
Mood
What mood the story is making you feel, as you are reading it, or after you read it.
Perspective
What persons perspective is the story being told in? 1st person? 3rd? Etc.
Theme
Theme is what the author has been to get across the whole time.
