3 Main types of hazzards
• Physical – the work environment causing immediate harm to your person
– Heat, Motion, Light, Noise
• Biomechanical - poor ergonomics; long term physical problems
– Too heavy equipment, poor lighting, poorly-adjusted machinery
• Chemical - inhalation or absorption of harmful substances
– Fumes, Skin Contact, Injestion
– Inhalation accounts for 90% of plastics industry toxicity cases
