what’s the difference between tantras and sutras?
Sutras, which typically contain teachings from the Buddha, often focus on the Dharma, ethical principles, and metaphysics.
They are meant to be understood through reasoning and intellectual contemplation.
Tantras, on the other hand, often contain yogic methods and secret teachings (esoteric) meant to be transmitted in specific ways, and may also offer a deeper view of emptiness.
Tantras are often viewed as more advanced and specialized teachings, focusing on specific practices and paths to enlightenment.
