3 paragraphs - 1 for each source + Mini conclusion.

Structure:
Source 1:
- judgement on authorship - why is the historian reliable?
- explain what the content in the source is.
- Add in 1 x O.K relating to the question.
- why is it / why is it not reliable? Any limitations?

Repeat for other source.

  • Mini conclusion - ‘whilst source __ is reliable… source __ is more reliable as….’.

‘Outline how…. has changed from c.500 to the present day.’
3 - 4 paragraphs.

Structure:
- Briefly state what the topic is and state that it has changed lots over time. Give a simple overview of the change.

Paragraph 1: Medieval (500 - 1500).
- Describe how the issue worked at the time.
- Give specific examples.
- Explain why it was like this - religion, government, resources etc.

Paragraph 2: Early Modern
- Describe what the issue was like in that time period.
- Highlight how things began to change / stay the same. ‘We can see a continuation as….’ ‘We can see a change in… as…’
- Give clear examples and reasons for change.

Paragraph 3: Industrial
- Describe what the issue was like in that time period.
- Highlight how things began to change / stay the same. ‘We can see a continuation as….’ ‘We can see a change in… as…’
- Give clear examples and reasons for change.

Paragraph 4:
- Explain how things are now.
- Highlight how things have changed / stayed the same + explain why.
- Use precise examples.

Conclusion:
2 sentences at the end to conclude how things have changed over time. State whether the change was gradual / dramatic. Mention the main reason for the change.
