Views: motivated behavior results from the interaction of participant factors and situational factors

A blend of physiological and psychological activation, varying intensity along a continuum
Arousal
A negative emotional state, with feelings of worry, nervousness, and apprehension associated with activation or arousal of the body
Anxiety
Refers to an emotional state, characterized by subjective, consciously perceived feelings of apprehension, intention, accompanied buyer associated with activation of the autonomic nervous system
State anxiety
State anxiety, where the degree of which one worries or has negative thoughts
Cognitive state anxiety
State anxiety that concerns the moment to moment changes in perceived physiological activation
Somatic state anxiety
Stay anxiety of the degree to which one believes one has a resource resources and ability to meet challenges
Perceived control state anxiety
A personality disposition that is stable overtime. It is an acquired disposition that predisposes a person to perceive a wide range of none dangerous circumstances as threatening.
Trait anxiety
A social process that occurs when rewards are given to people for how their performance compares with the performance of others during the same task

A social process through which performance is evaluated and rewarded in terms of the collective achievement of a group of people working together
