Q

For answering MCQs…

(30 MCQs with 10 mins).

A
  • Read question carefully.
  • Underline key QWs with key answer words, make linkages.
  • Adequate elimination process.
  • Infer diagrams appropiately.
  • Look for hints and scan over for any pointers.

Revise basic stuff/terminology for MCQs, as well as everything else!

Q

For 2 marker…

A
  • Read question carefully.
  • Underline key QWs
  • Attain correct data and correct potential formula
  • Clearly show working out
  • Answer correctly (to correct dp or sf, or unit)
  • If answer has minus, keep it in

(If base year, percentage change formula, then add hundred to answer)

Q

4 marker…

A
  • 2 paragraphs
  • 1 point in each paragraph
    1 paragraph:
  • Definitions
  • PEEL (start with extract data)
    Other things:
  • Quote data specifically
  • Begin 1st paragraph with firstly and 2nd paragraph with ‘Secondly’

(Acquire correct data, and be specific throughout)

Q

For 9/10 markers…

A
  • Read question carefully.
  • Underline key QWs
    Intro (5 mins max):
-> Brief summary wtih definitions + rndm knowledge
    P1 (20 mins max):
  • State applicable and contextualised factors/points with definitons.
  • QL clear chains of analysis (link with QWs!)
  • Extract proof/rndm knowledge.
  • RCCDE (relevant clear contextualised…) and (link with QWs).

(For macroeconomic intro, perhaps ref. objectives)

Q

For 15 markers… (a mini 25 marker?)

A
  • Read question carefully.
  • Underline key QWs
  • Aim to write about 3 or 4 factors/points across paragraphs.
  • Spend max. 3 mins planning and 15 mins writing with 5 mins per paragraph approx.
    Intro :
-> Brief summary with definitions and rndm knowledge.
    P1:
-> State applicable and contextualised factor(s)/point(s), with definitions.
-> QL clear chains of analysis, with contextualised examples, (link with QWs).
-> Extract proof/world rndm knowledge -> REASONABLY REALISTIC
    -> RCCDE (relevant clear contextualised…)
    P2:
-> State applicable and contextualised factor(s)/point(s), with definitions.
-> QL chains of analysis, with contextualised examples, (link with QWs).
-> Extract proof/world rndm knowledge -> REASONABLY REALISTIC
    -> RCCDE (relevant clear contextualised…)
    P3:
  • -> State applicable and contextualised factors/points, with definitions.
-> QL chains of analysis, with contextualised examples,(link with QWs).
-> Extract proof/world rndm knowledge -> REASONABLY REALISTIC
    -> RCCDE (relevant clear contextualised…)
