The ability to meet the demands of the environment
Each person has different demands
Exercise
A form of physical activity done to improve health and/or physical fitness it is not a competitive sport
What is a balanced healthy lifestyle
Health fitness and regular exercise
All factors work together but if one isn’t done then the others will lose out also

Cardiovascular fitness
The ability to exercise the entire body for long periods of time without tiring
What is the cv system
Heart blood vessels and blood
Used to supply the muscles with oxygen to produce energy for exercise
Muscular endurance
The ability to use voluntary muscles many times without getting tired
Muscular strength
The amount of force a muscle can exert against a resistance
Flexibility
The range of movement at a joint
Body composition
The percentage of body weight which is fat muscle and bone

What is agility
The ability to change the position of the whole body quickly and controlled
What is balance
The ability to retain the body’s center of balance above the base of support when dynamic or stationary
What is coordination
The ability to use two or more body parts together
Eg hand eye
What is power
The ability to do strength performances quickly
Strength X speed
What is reaction time
The time it takes to react to a stimulus
What is speed
The amount of time it takes to perform an action or cover a distance
When is muscular endurance used
When activities are:
Mainly aerobic
Last a long time
Require repeated use of the same muscles
When is cardiovascular fitness needed
When activities:
Are mainly aerobic

Involve prolonged additional oxygen delivery

Activities that need force
Mainly one repetition of maximum effort
When is flexibility needed
Gymnastics
Increase stride length
When is body composition needed
It impacts all performers eg a jockey must have low body fat

When players need to dodge other players eg netball
