Why is the Benedict’s test semi quantitative?
The colour is proportionate to the amount of reducing sugar so can be used to estimate it
What are thermophilic bacteria?
Bacteria adapted to high temperatures
Their enzymes can function above 100C

An increased index increases the stability because more members are likely to survive a change in environmental conditions
What is the lollipop method?
Lollipop shaped apparatus
Radioactive hydrogencarbonate is added
Radioactive carbon is taken up
Shows the stages of a light independent reaction
