EYES Flashcards

(15 cards)

1
Q

tell me about rods and cones?

A

rods= - senstive in dim light
- see images in black and white
- good in dark

cones = - senstive in bright light
- see images in color
- good in light condtions

they are also the receptors cells

Q

tell me about the optic nerve?

A
  • receptor cells (rods + cones+) send impulses through sensory neurones to the brain
  • sensory neurones gather and leave the eye through optic nerve (blind spot)
