Q

Low blood sugar

A

glucagon, causes phos at ser through casacade event. PFK2 then gets inhibited… means that PFK1 activity decreases and FBPase activity level increases.
(legs together arms apart)
Why? liver is trying to keep blood sugar constant

Q

high blood sugar

A

insulin, dephos of serine, arms together legs apart…
PFK1 increase while FBPase1 decrease. Gly goes up GNg goes down, because you want to use up the extra blood sugar.

Q

Xyulose-5-P

A

Ketose, causes PP2A to dephos serine. (Linking allosteric and covalent modification)
- may help with dephos pf PKL in the liver
- Xu5P made by PPP
- coordinated control exists between these pathways
