Silk Mikado
- Lihi Hod Dresses
-Mikado fabrics are a luxurious type of silk that have a heavier weight, therefore a great choice if you want to give structure to a dress, however it keeps you feeling cool and fresh. As silk, Mikado fabrics have a slight shine that makes any garment stand out as it subtly sparkles and glows as the light hits it.

Flora Brides
FLORA requires a few extra measurements + an additional size form (in desktop + laptop folders) to be filled out when submitting an order along with photos of your bride (front, back + side) in our sample. Take these additional measurements when you have a Flora bride
Taking Measurements tips
Always make sure to ask your bride to take a deep breath when measuring. You want your measuring tape to be taught, but not so much where they can’t take an unrestricted breath.
Bra and underwear on
Important sizing note
Always let your bride know that their dress is made according to a size chart, and not made to measure. This means that dresses will come in fitting comfortingly, but not perfect. Alterations will almost always be necessary.
Bride between sizes
If a bride is between sizes, always size up and they can take the gown in where it falls big. We always tell our brides “it’s easier to take a dress in that to let it out 100% of the time”
Dresses with boning, a bustier, or corset
Always allow for more room as corseted + bustier gowns do not have any stretch or give
Brides with larger bust that are purchasing a dress without cups
Size up to account for more room to add support into the gown
Alexandra Grecco fit
Always give more room in the bust - Grecco gowns notoriously need a size up since they have minimal stretch/give. Silk + silk satins in general do not have a ton of stretch either
Alena Leena fit
Historically, has been easier as a boutique to size up since more of their dresses have boning, cups, and/or bustiers
Bustier
are intended to emphasize a lady’s curves and tend to push the breasts up and together to create cleavage. Often the bustier has cup-shapes built into the top part of the garment to facilitate the definition of the bust, and the curved lines were more desirable than the smooth lines of a corset. The cups resembled the modern day bra, which also is meant to “boost” cleavage.
Corset = to cinch
Bustier = to boost
