What is the recommended exercise guideline?
150-300 minutes of moderate intensity exercise a week
What is the recommended alcohol intake?
No more than 2 standard drinks a day for men, or 1 standard drink a day for women
What is considered a standard drink?
- 1 can of beer (330ml)
- Half a glass of wine (15cm height)
- 1 shot of a spirit
State / Describe the diagnostic criteria for Kawasaki’s disease
Must have: High fever (>39 deg) for at least 5 days, and
4 out of 5 of the following
1. Conjunctivitis (non-suppurative)
2. Rash (polymorphous)
3. Adenopathy (>1.5cm cervical lymphadenopathy)
4. Strawberry tongue
5. Hands and Feet (oedema, erythema, desquamation)
Diagnostic criteria for metabolic syndrome
Any 3 out of 5 of the following:
1. Waist circumference: ≥90cm (M), ≥80cm (W)
2. Triglycerides: ≥1.7mmol/L
3. HDL: ≤1.0mmol/L (M), ≤1.3mmol/L (W)
4. BP: ≥135/85mmHg
5. Fasting plasma glucose: ≥6.1mmol/L
