ROWS
1. What are ROWS for?
Rows, which are found in the Schedule View, contain all of the information pertaining to a particular activity. Resource rows, which are found in the Resource View, contain all of the information pertaining to a particular resource.
- How do you insert a ROW?
- Select the rows above which you would like new, blank rows to appear. If you want to insert three new rows, select three existing rows. The new rows will appear above the topmost of the selected rows.
- From the Insert menu, select Row.
- What is OUTLINING ACTIVITIES?
In the Schedule View, outlining activities creates a hierarchy of activity levels; for instance, projects, phases, activities, and sub activities. By indenting and outdenting activity names, you can create as many outline levels as you would like. Once outlined, activity levels can be collapsed and expanded to show different levels of detail.
- How do you OUTLINE activities?
click on the ACTIVITY NAME cell you wish to INDENT. In the FORMAT TOOLBAR, click the INDENT BUTTON. You can also go to the PROJECT MENU and select OUTLINE.
- How do you OUTDENT an activity?
by doing the reverse of what was done to INDENT the activity
- How do you display OUTLINE LEVELS?
You can show or hide specific outline levels in the whole schedule at once using the Outline Toolbar or the menu bar.
FORMAT TOOLBAR:SHOW:select the number of OUTLINE levels you wish to display
- When you double click on a row’s ROW NUMBER ACTION COLUMN, you get a dialog box. What is it?
FORMAT ROW (if in RESOURCE VIEW: FORMAT RESOURCE ROW). Here you choose various formatting options for the rows, such as size of the row and the background color or bottom line column color.
- What is AUTOFIT?
In the Schedule View, AutoFit can automatically enlarge or reduce row height to fit text as you enter it. TOOLS:AUTOFIT
