6 steps of making a standard solution of 250cm3, 0.50mol dm-3 of NaOH

1 - weigh an empty weighing boat using a 2dp balance then add 5.00g of NaOH. 2 - transfer solid into a 250cm3 beaker and add minimum amount of distilled water to dissolve completely using a stirring rod 3 - using a filter funnel, transfer solution to 250cm3 volumetric flask 4 - rinse the beaker, stirring rod, funnel with distilled water and add washings to volumetric flask 5 - add distilled water to mark up to 250cm3 mark (bottom of meniscus) 6 - add stopper and mix thoroughly
