explain how the constitution is both specific and vague:
-there are implied powers which aren’t specifically e.g. the federal power to draft people into the armed forces is implied by congress’ power to raise an army and navy
-however there are some specific elements e.g. all of article 1 relates to the powers of congress
what are reserved powers?
powers reserved for the states only e.g. states have the right to raise taxation
what are concurrent powers?
powers possessed by both the federal and state governments e.g. collecting taxes
explain how the constitution is judiciable?
the constitution is a higher law than all other laws are judged against
laws can be struck down by the SC as unconstitutional
is the constitution entrenched?
yes - due to its complex amendment process
