- Egg enters fallopian tube
When does the luteal phase occur?
End of ovulation until start of menstruation

Describe the proliferative phase
Endometrium becomes thicker for implantation
What is the primary hormone during the proliferative phase?
Estrogen
Describe the secretory phase
Endometrium continues to thicken
What is the primary hormone during the secretory phase?
Progesterone

7 - 8 days after ovulation (most favorable time for implantation)
