maintains + develops thickened endometrium, prevents uterine contractions, and menstruation

what is a fertlized ovum
zygote
blastocyst
develops from a fertilized egg, after rounds of cell division
trophoblast
a thin layer of cells that helps a developing embryo attach to the uterus
corpus luteum and when does it form
temporary gland in the ovary that produces hormones for pregnancy which forms after ovulation.
FSH fuction (follicle stimulating hormone - follicles) FSHF
stimulates the growth of follicles and stimulates oogenesis
LH function ( luteinizing hormone - ovulation/corpus luteum ) LHC
triggers ovulation and the development of the corpus luteum
