They give land

They give them land to live on and protection
What do knights and vassals do for craftsmen/merchants/farmers?
Gives protection and order
What do the working class give peasants/serfs?
Provide work and supply shelter
What do peasants/serfs do for the working class?
They pay rent
What do merchants give knights/vassals?
Provide resources
What do knights/vassals do for nobles?
Military support
What do nobles give the king?
Sworn fealty, allegiance and promise military aid.
What is a peasant?
Poor labourers can move to find work
What is a serf?
Poor labourers that a bound to land but aren’t bought or sold.
What is at the top of the pyramid and why?
Pope/Church/God because god is above all and influences all groups directly.
