Exposition/Set-up:
A
We introduce the characters, setting, conflict.

Inciting Moment
A
Something happens that forces the character to act on the problem.

Rising Action:
A
Events continue to happen that cause the main character to continue to attempt to solve the problem. Suspense builds during this time!

Climax
A
The main character must face and solve the problem or fail in this moment.

Falling Action:
A
These events follow the climax – there is no longer suspense as the climax has determined the outcome.

Resolution
A
The outcome of the story. This is how life is now that the story has reached its end.
