what is a Denotative Language?
the literal meaning of words.
for e.g.>when he came in the piano was playing
what is a Connotative Language?
are words that have similar meanings under a certain word.
eg>he came in as he heard the melody of the piano playing
what is a Figurative Language?
are words that have no literal meanings.
eg> he could hear piano music as sweet as the heavens when he came in to the cafe

what is a simile ?
as or like are used to compare 2 things
e.g.>as sweet as a candy
what is a metaphor?
words that are used to compare things without its literal meanings.
e.g.>the boy is a lion
note: lion was used to show strength and power.
what is a personification?
giving something a human trait .
e.g.>the sky is crying
what is a hyperbole?
exaggeration in something.
e.g.>he is as old as the hills
what is Onomatopoeia?
sound affects that things make.
e.g.> splash, boom, honk. etc…
what is Alliteration?
Alliteration is when multiple words in a row have the same sounding first syllable.
e.g.>San and the seven seas
what is Allusion?
An allusion is a reference or mention of someone or something that is known
