Soy
Because Miguel is the only person there, so that makes it singular, and because “Soy” always comes after “Yo”
Marta ________ (soy/es/eres) de Bolivia.
Es
Because Marta is one person, so that automatically makes it singular, and Marta is a she, and you put “Es” after an Ella. (Girl)
Los chicos ________ (somos/es/son) de Western Middle School.
Son
Because it is Chicos, which makes it Plural, and Ellos is a masculine “They”, which goes after Chicos. You also put “Son” after an Ellos. (They)
Luis y yo ________ (eres/somos/son) estudiantes.
Somos
Because Luis and yo are two people, making it Plural, it is also a “We”, which always has “Somos” come after it.
El senor Martinez ________ (es/eres/soy) professor de Espanol.
Es
Because it literally has “El” inside of it, which makes us use “Es” after it.
Tu ________ (es/eres/soy) de Los estados Unidos.
Eres
Because “Eres” always comes after “Tu”.
Los muchachos ________ (somos/son/eres) muy atleticos.
Son
Because “Los” is Plural, and “Los” is also describing muchachos, or boys, which is “They”, which is “Ellos”, which always has “Son” come after it.
La senora Gomez ________ (eres/es/soy) espanola.
Es
Because we’re describing a Senora, or a woman teacher, who is an “Ella”, and “Ella” needs an “Es” to come right after it.
Silvia y Luisa ________ (somos/son/eres) argentinas.
Son
Because there is no “Yo” inside of it, so it can’t be Nosotros/Nosotras (We) and it is clearly describing two people, so it is Plural, also, Silvia y Luisa is a “They”, which is Ellas, which needs a “Son” to come after it.
