Engine Horn Fails En Route
Train may comntinue to the nearest Repair Point. The Engineer must: a. **Notify the RTC** as soon as Possible b. If equipped, ring the **Engine Bell** continuosly when rules require the horn to be sounded. c. Approach highway grade crossings **prepared to stop** until the Engineer observes that **Crossing warning devices** are working as intended and the crossing is **Clear** d. Approach locations where roadway workers are known to be on or near the tracks **not exceeding 30 MPH**.

Headlight and Aux Light Failures
a. If one light fails, the train may operate without restriction until its next CDMI; d. If the Headlight and all Aux lights fail, or if the headlight fails on Bombadier cab cars, regardless of the condition of the Aux light, the train may operate only to the next forward location where repairs can be made. The RTC must be notified Immeditely.

Restriction Reminder
The Conductor must remind the Engineer of the following instructions issued by the RTC prior to reaching the location where the restriction takes effect. a. Speed Restrictions b. Stop and Warn c. Working Limits Stop SIgn d. Bridge Strikes Confirmation is to be done: * at a point, sufficently in advance for the engineer to take action, and * Within three miles of the restriction when practicable the conductor must be positioned with the Engineer.

Transfering Passengers Between Trains
a. In DC Territory- **Both Trains** are **De-energized**, will be notified when the **De-energization ** is confirmed. untill RTC confirms that **Both Tracks** are **De-energized**. power must not be restored until the transfer is **complete**. b. In AC territory, all pantographs on both trains must be lowered. Pantographs may not be raised until the transfer is complete.

Criteria for determing Train Control Apparatus Failure
1. When audible indicator fails to sound when recieving a more restrictive cab signal. 2. When audible indicator continues to sound after it was acknowledged and speed was reduced to meet the speed for that cab signal. 3. inoperative speedometer, showing a constant no motion V-Zero indications 4. when damage or fault occurs to any portion of the Train control Apparatus 5. When cutting out any part of the Train control apparatus except when entering MBS territory. 6. continuous cab signal flips 7. when given a more favorable cab signal that is not in conformity with observable track conditon or track occupancy.

Non-Compliant Locomotives
A tag stating **Non-Complying Locomotive** shall be attached to the **Control Stand** and ** Isolation Switch** if equipped.

Passenger Equipment Defects
A **Non-compliance tag** shall be placed on **the hand brake of the defective equipment**. An automated tracking system shall be provided or **a tag placed on both sides of the defective equipment**.

Procedures to Stop and Warn | Write out
1.**Train must stop with the lead unit within 50 feet of the crossing.
