Dispensational Theology
God has 2 peoples & 2 distinct destinies: Israel (earthly) and church (heavenly); Israel ALWAYS MEANS physical descendants of Jacob
Covenant Theology
God has always had 1 people (the church); Israel can mean Jacob’s descendants OR spiritual Israel (the church)
Globalization
The process of moving from a town or rural area to one of the major cities or suburbs (positive effects: entrepreneurship; women’s rights, etc.) (negative effects: not everyone can be an entrepreneur; old heroes devalued)

Generations; family - extended. Often bloodshed; traditional

Dominated partially through the spread of Christianity. Separation from larger community/clan

Most families nowadays. Family is redefined to whatever it wants to be. (Causes higher divorce rates, less children, childhood rebellion etc.)

Rapid change which causes social chaos. Tradition gives way to new, alternative lifestyles.
