Q

Otitis Media

Duration?

What age group does it affect most?

Treatment?

A

Inflammation of middle ear tissue. Often accompanied by fluid and infection.

  • Common in children
  • Effusion: Fluid or mucous from ME tissue
  • Duration (Acute 0-21 days, Recurrent 22 days-8 weels, Chronic > 8 weeks
  • Treated with antibiotics or myringotomy
