  • skin must be exfoliated and hydrated well before makeup application
  • do not use dark lipstick colours because it looks aging
  • do not use liquid liners, they are too harsh. instead, use eye pencils or shadows for a softer look. Do not apply dark liner in the waterline, it will make eyes appear smaller

  • stretching the mouth by smiling creates a straiter line
  • use a dull pencil for a more feather look
  • blend pencil and lipstick to erase harsh lines

OVAL is the most symmetrically and balanced. Widest at the temples and forehead, curved chin

ROUND faces are even in length and width

Eye shapes

A

DEEP SET: requires little contouring, lighter shadows are recommended to bring receding areas forward. Use water proof mascara to avoid smudging

DROOPING EYES are downturned at the outer corners. Apply shadows and liners upward to lift the eyes. Top and bottom liner should connect.

ALMOND- have a natural lift at the corner, enhance the shape by cover the lids with shadow and into the crease

WIDESET- eye are more then one eye width apart, make them look closer together by apply darker shadow and liner by the inner corners

CLOSESET- are less than one eye width apart, put darker colours on the outer corners and lighter colours in the inner corners. Flared lashes are put to pull the eyes apart

SMALL EYES- brighter colours are best to open the eyes, contour above the natural crease, to create the illusion of more space

BULDGING EYES- contour the protruding lids using darker shades. put lighter colours at the brow bone by highlighting

MONOLIDS- lack a crease, flat from lid to brow. dark colours close to lash line, soft neutral in the middle, lightest at the brow. curl lashes for lift

HOODED EYES- droopy skin over crease, blend crease colour over the crease. only the outer edges of the upper lash Lin should be defined

Complimentary colors for BLUE eyes​

Orange is the complementary color to blue.
Orange contains yellow and red, shadows that contain these colors will make eyes looks bluer.
Common choices include:
Gold, warm orange browns like peach and copper, red-browns, mauves, plums and neutrals like taupe and camel.

Pure red tones is not recommended due to eyes appearing bloodshot, irritated or tired.
