The benefits of leverage

A
  1. Often quick and inexpensive to obtain a loan or extension of a line of credit from the bank.
  2. Asset matching. For example: ST line of credit may be ideal for increasing inventory for a seasonal business of a LT fixed payment loan for a significant investment in PP&E that is to be used for over a longer time period.
  3. Not dilutive to equity investors.
