P’s who disobeyed were called defiant subjects and those who obeyed were called obedient

Most p’s showed signs of extreme tension (sweating, trembling, groaning, biting their lips, digging nails in to flesh)
14/40 showed nervous laughter and smiles
3/40 had seizures

Subjects for defied the experimenter, some were highly agitated and even angry

Those who stayed, some sighed with relief at the end, nervously fumbled cigarettes or rubbed their eyes, some shock their heads in instant regret.

Some stayed calm throughout
