Where is the break for a P-L S2-S4?
Toward segment of contact (when scoping SI)
Where is the break for a PI-L S2-S4?
Toward segment of contact (when scoping SI)
Where is the break for a PL?
On left at segment of contact
Where is the break for a PL-C?
On left at segment of contact
Where is the break for a PLS S2-S5?
On left at segment of contact
Where is the break for a PL-C lift S2-S5?
On left at segment of contact
Where is the break for a S4 PLI?
On left at segment of contact
Do we contact at the point of swelling or point of tightness?
Point of swelling
Leg length for a P-L S2-S4?
Left leg will be very short
Leg length for a PI-L S2-S4?
Left leg is short, not as short as P-L; lift sacrum to meet pelvis
Leg length for a PL?
Left leg will be long/right leg will be short
Leg length for a PL-C?
Left leg will be long/right leg will be short
Leg length for a PLS S2-S5?
Left leg will be short
Leg length for a PL-C lift S2-S5?
Left leg will be short/right leg will be long
Leg length for S4 PLI?
Left leg will be long
SCP/CP/TQ for a P-L S2-S4?
Sacral ala (not crest) Reach across or same side-- adjusting through SI joint angle
SCP/CP/TQ for a PI-L S2-S4?
Sacral ala (not crest) Reach across or same side-- same side allows more lift
SCP/CP/TQ for PL?
On left side of tubercle
Stand on left side
Superior hand thumb contact OR inferior hand pisiform contact- may contact just near or on tubercle
SCP/CP/TQ for PL-C?
On right crest at segment
Preferred superior hand thumb contact
Stand on left side reaching across or stand on same side
SCP/CP/TQ for PLS S2-S5?
Pisiform inferior hand contact is near or on tubercle
Can use thumb if using superior hand
TQ: CCW
Stand on left side
SCP/CP/TQ for PL-C lift S2-S5?
Superior hand thumb contact; focus on lift (can reach across but not as favorable)
TQ: CCW
Stand on right side, scissored stance
SCP/CP/TQ for S4 PLI?
Superior hand thumb contact; focus on left and torque
TQ: CCW
Stand on left side, scissored stance
What does a P-L S2-S4 affect?
Affects SI joint primarily and lumbar rotation
What does a PI-L S2-S4 affect?
Affects SI joint primarily, lifting for inferiority, will help lift the left side of lumbar spine
