how to: photograph
A
- Takes photos from outside of the classroom moving closer to the crime scene
- Takes close up and far shots
- Photos are in sequential order
- Document evidence that is photographed (makes a list)
- Takes different angles of the crime scene
- Photos are clear and easy to see
- Photographs any possible latent evidence (fingerprints, hair, etc)
- Discusses photos with other photographers
- Lists time and dates
- Lists relevance
- Photos are in order on google drive and shared with Mrs. Vaccarino
- Gives feedback and receives feedback

A
- no deltas
- ridges enter on one side and exit on the other
a tented arch has a spike or “tent” in the middle

whorl + characteristics
A
- at least one ridge that tends to form a complete circuit or circle
- two or more deltas
if the line between the two deltas touches the core: plain whorl
if it doesn’t: central pocket whorl
double loop whorl: two loops on print
accidental whorl: two or more patterns (not including the plain arch), or does not fall into any of the other categories clearly

what is a delta + why its importance
A
- usually triangle shaped break in ridges
- major part of identifying print types (number)

steps of taking a print
A
- mark boxes on a piece of paper and label (ie. pointer finger, right hand)
- press the pad of the finger onto an ink pad and then roll the finger onto its left side, and then the right
- press the left side of the finger onto the marked box on the paper, and then roll it onto the right side
- lift the finger off of the paper
