Machine gun, short barreled shotgun, short barreled rifle, muffler or silencer, destructive device or other miscellaneous weapons

Short barreled shotgun: barrel less than 18” or overall length less than 26”
Short barreled rifle: barrel less than 16” or overall length less than 26”

Serial number recording

Answer 4

If possible units must record serial numbers of federally regulated firearms and conduct intelligence database checks using the serial number to verify compliance with federal firearm laws
