Renal artery -> Segmental artery -> Interlobar artery -> Arcuate artery -> Interlobular artery -> Afferent arteriole -> Glomerulus -> Efferent arteriole -> Interlobular vein -> Arcuate vein -> Interlobar vein -> Segmental vein -> Renal vein.

Where is the macula densa found?

A

The macula densa is a layer of closely packed specialized cells lining the wall of the thick ascending limb where it connects to the distal convoluted tubule.

A

The juxtaglomerular cells are found between the glomerulus and the ascending limb of the loop of Henle.

What is the course of the ureters?

A

Ureters pass under the uterine artery and under the ductus deferens, retroperitoneal. “Water (ureters) under the bridge (uterine artery, vas deferens)”. Ligation of the uterine vessels may damage the ureter causing ureteral obstruction or ureter leak.
