A build up of cholesterol in the arteries slowing or stopping blood flow.
How does smoking increase blood pressure?
Carbon monoxide reduces oxygen in the blood
Nicotine speeds up heart; makes blood vessels narrower
What is a thrombosis?
A clotting of the blood vessel causing a blockage
How does carbon monoxide reduce the oxygen levels in your blood?
It binds with the haemoglobin in your red blood cells which preventsthe oxygen from binding.
