Health Related Fitness
Directly associated with skill performance
Skill Related Fitness
Consists of fitness components that are important to success in skillful activities and athletic events, and may not be as crucial to improved health
Skill Related Fitness
The ability of an individual to perform task successfully, effectively and efficiently without undue fatigue but with extra reserved in case of emergency

The ability to exercise your body for long periods of time (Strong Heart and Healthy Lungs)
Aerobic/Cardiovascular Endurance
The ability to use your muscles without tiring (Likely to have better posture and fewer back problems) (better able to resist fatigue)
Muscular Endurance
The amount of force your muscles can produce (measured by how much weight you can lift) (perform task efficiently with least amount of effort)
Muscular Strength
The ability to use your joints fully through a wide range of motion (muscles are long enough and joints are free enough to allow movement) (fewer sore or injured muscles)
Flexibility
The % of body weight that is made up of fat compared to
other body tissue. (bones, muscles, organs, tissue)

The ability to change the position of your body quickly and control your body’s movements (good at activities like wrestling, diving, soccer and ice skating)
Agility
The ability to keep an upright posture while standing still or moving (good at activities like gymnastics and ice skating)
Balance
The ability to use your sense together with your body parts, or to user 2+ body parts together (good at activities like baseball, softball, soccer, golf, tennis)
Coordination
The ability to use strength quickly. It involves both strength and speed (good at activities like shot put, discus throw, high jump, football and speed swim)
Power
The amount of time it take to move once you realize the need to act (good at activities like fast starts in track or swimming)
Reaction Time
The ability to perform a movement or cover a distance in a short period of time
Speed
