Q

During a preflight inspection on an aircraft that doesn’t have an MEL, you notice equipment that is inop. Describe how to determine if the aircraft is still airworthiness for flight.

A

I would ask myself …
1. Is the equipment part of an AD
2. Is the equipment listed on a KOEL (kinds of operations equipment list)
3. Is the equipment required by the TCDS?
4. Is the equipment required by 91.205 (ATOMATOFLAMES)
