Q

How do you monitor a patients response?

A

Using clinical signs
- Maintenance of normal hydration without evidence of volume overload
- Normal urine output (at least 2ml/kg/hr for canine)
- Resp rate within normal range
Moist membranes
- Good appetite and drinking
