Q

principle of fluorometry

A

measure concentration of solutions that contain fluorescing molecules

as molecules/ atoms absorb energy , electrons become excited

higher energy levels ( excited electrons)
electrons to ground state & emit light

if emitted wavelength is longer than absorbed for excitation ( excitation wavelength) = fluorescence
