Attachments: medial epicondyle of humerus, coronoid process of ulna, lateral surface of radius approx. midshaft

Actions: Pronation, assists with elbow flexion

Innervation: Median nerve

Blood supply: Ulnar artery (recurrent)

A

Attachments: medial epicondyle of humerus, base of meta carpals 2 and 3

Actions: flexes and abducts wrist

Innervation: median nerve (C6, C7)

Blood supply: radial artery

Flexor Digitorum Superficialis

A

Attachments:
Humero-ulnar head: medial epicondyle of humerus and adjacent coronoid process
Radial head- superior half of anterior radius
Palmar surfaces of bodies of middle phalanges of digits 2 – 5

Actions: Flexes middle and proximal phalanges of medial four digits; also flexes hand at wrist

Innervation: Median Nerve (C8, T1)

Blood supply: Ulnar and radial artery

Flexor Carpi Ulnaris

A

Attachments: Medial epicondyle of humerus, olecranon and posterior border of ulna
Pisiform and indirectly to hamate and palmar base of 5th metacarpal via pisohamate ligament

Action: flexes and adducts the hand at wrist joint

Innervation: Ulnar nerve (C7, C8, T1)

Blood supply: Ulnar artery (recurrent)

Flexor Digitorum Profundis

A

Attachments: surface of proximal ulna and anterior, medial half of interosseous membrane, palmar base of distal phalanges of digits 2-5

Action: flexes distal phalanges of medial 4 digits, assists with flexion of hand at wrist

Innervation: Lateral part: anterior interosseous nerve
medial part: ulnar nerve (C8, T1)

Blood supply: Ulnar and anterior interosseous arteries

Flexor Pollicis Longus

A

Attachments: anterior surface of radius and radial half of interosseous membrane, palmar base of distal phalanx of thumb

Action: flexes phalanges of thumb, can also flex metacarpophalangeal joint of thumb

Innervation: anterior interosseous nerve (C7, C8)

Blood supply: Anterior interosseous artery
