Treaty of Blois 1504

A

Louis XII of France and Maximillian I and his son Archduke Philip agreed that Claude of France would marry Philip’s son Charles (V) and have a dowry that included Brittany, Burgundy, and Blois. France and Spain agreed to bestow Naples upon Charles. However, the terms of the treaty fell through when Claude was betrothed to her second cousin, the future Francis I of France.
