Doing what’s right, linked to our upbringing. Agents= Peers,Family and school

A
Culture/religion, E.G: Christians don’t eat meat on good Friday.

A
Knowing right from wrong. Person feels guilty if behaviour is considered wrong by society. E.G: Queue jumping

A
People in power enforce others to conform to the law.

Coercion?
A
Physical (imprisonment). Non-violent (strike). Coercion is a last resort in society.

A
Fear of punishment

A
Reasons for abiding by the law. Involvement (no time to commit)
Commitment (stop temptation)
Beliefs (ideas&values feel right to us)
Attachment (family bond, don’t want disapproval)
