A type of wine that has additional distilled spirits, typically brandy added to it after fermentation. This process increases the alcohol content to between 15% and 22%

Muscat

Our fortified is made with muscat from Willunga, that was left on the vines for a longer period. Muscat is a very well known grape, that is sweet and aromatic. This is super popular and you might be able to taste marmalade.

Fortified Shiraz

Made from Shiraz from our vines, this wine is richer and fuller in body with notes of chocolate and cherries, it’s not as sweet as the others.

VOTP

This is our very old Tawny port, over 70 years old. Comes from the Dennis family, a very influential family in our region. It is a complex wine with rich layers of flavour, it is just delicious may be able to taste salted caramel, and figs.

Port - Australia

Answer 6

Since 2009 Australia is prohibited from using the term port to label fortified wines to protect the traditional designation of port, keeping it exclusive to Portugal. As a result Australian wines are known as tawny or fortified wines. We are allowed to keep it for our VOTP because it was before the law came into effect.
