People had more rights, the king was overthrown, legislature was established, there was less inequality, poor people had some say in things

France was now much more powerful, MEN had effectively equal rights, France had consistent laws and taxed, a new education system was established

A prison fort torn down by revolutionaries to obtain gunpowder for muskets to defend france
Why did other countries want to declare war on France?
Monarchs were scared of people learning the ideals of the french revolution and revolting against them

A standardized and consistent legal system implemented by Napoleon to consolidate law into one text

A text which outlines the purpose of a nation
Positives and negatives about Napoleon
He made France into a superpower, gave citizens rights, established consistent laws and taxes, gave French people education, but he was also an absolute dictator, crushed opposition with secret police, and had a very large ego
Napoleon’s rise to power
He was a military hero who longed for power, so he staged a coup and became a popular leader nearly instantly
