Conclusions and impliacations

A

. Findings from the case study supported his theories of child development
. Provided support for his theory of the oedipus complex - young boy develops intense sexual love for his mother - sees father as a rival - wants to get rid of him
. Hans was afraid of horses due to horse being a symbol of his father e.g. Black bits around horses face looked like fathers moustache. Little hans had sexual desires for mum and feared his fathers retaliation - so hans displaced fear of father onto horses
